EPOS Ordering System with 4-Sight Fax Server Solution

Problem

Customer had a new EPOS Terminal server solution for centralised tills and ordering, the problem was this did not work with their old ordering system where shops would order stock and print out a copy of the Fax they sent to the supplier. This kept track of the orders both centrally and also in the shops. Also a fax reciept was a hard copy proof of order.
not only did the EPOS not have a fax solution but the customer was at a loss of how the central server could then deliver a fax back to the outlying shop for record keeping.

Solution

Using 4-Sight Fax on a central server the terminal sessions could now send faxes, email receipts were then delivered back to the outlying shops which were downloaded and automatically printed by the very machine that had made the order centrally on the terminal server. Not only did the customer get a system that required very little training of staff but the upgrade to possible email ordering from fax ordering in the future using the same system is now possible allowing smooth transition to new technology.

All this was achieved using a Mac as a Fax Server with outlying shops using Mac's to connect to the terminal server which of coure was a PC running an EPOS system.
